It was a fairly nice stay, the best I had before. The hotel was clean and in a great location, the staff where pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the location to city center by bus number 6. There was Nil around 4-6 minutes' walk from the property;)))
There was low water pressure and it was inconvenient.

Walking distance to S and U-Bahn stations, the Elbe landing stages, shops, restaurants, Reeperbahn. Usual good standard German buffet breakfast. A no-frills place reflected in the price, no TV in room, but my room (booked as a single) was a very large double with a balcony, and the hotel is good value for money. Has the feel of a DDR hotel from the 1970s, this is a compliment not a criticism!
My room faced onto the busy main road where traffic runs all night. Back and side rooms would be quiet.

Convenient location, helpful staff, nice little shop next door that sells beer for 1 euro a bottle with seats outside, great for groups of lads.

The staff was friendly. Location is good.
Rooms were not as clean as they should. You could hear all the noice from the street and hallway. Pillows were uncomfortable. In the other room there was no TV even though it should have been and the tv of the other room was big and old. I would recommend only if you have to stay in a cheap hostel for a night or two.

The room was clean and the beds had great linen.
In all our years of travelling and using Booked.net this was our only truly negative experience. The information provided online is not really representative of the truth: the hotel charges a fee (5 eur per day) for a dog (although it explicitly said on our reservation that no additional charges will be applicable for house pets). Additionally the online information states that parking is free of charge and available in the vicinity of the hotel (whereas in reality only one miniscule residential street fit for a maximum of 10 vehicles is _not_ a parking zone and everything else within a few km range is indeed a parking zone). By far the worst however was the hotel staff. They ask for money in advance but issue a receipt only after a few days of you repeatedly asking for it. They refuse to help when a guest has trouble using their wlan in the reception area. They are by no means helpful in answering any questions you may have (such as, for instance, "where do you suggest I could park my car")- regardless of whether you ask them in fluent German or fluent English. They do not even greet you as you pass the reception area on your way in and out of the hotel, but they do occasionally follow you to your room so as to inquire whethere exactly in the room does the dog sleep. We would not recommend this hotel.

We spent one night in a family room with our 2 children (4&7) after visiting Miniature Wunderland (biggest model railway in the world - highly recommended!). Lovely, helpful staff, room was spaceous and clean. No lift. The two beds for the kids were roll-aways, not too comfortable for adults but fine for them. The kids loved the big playground at the end of Paulinenstrasse, and since the weather was great we had takeaway Pizza in the playground. Lots of restaurants nearby (go towards the playground and turn right, if you turn left you end up near the infamous Reeperbahn - not an ideal children environment ;). There's a great bakery if you turn right too: they had 50% off most cakes after 6pm!
